The way a web page is composed can influence how a user views the content. Certain parts of the page will draw the eye, and understanding principles of composition will greatly enhance site usability and effectiveness. Knowing which parts of a design will draw the most attention will determine where page elements are placed. For example on an e-commerce site buy now buttons will be positioned in an area of the screen that gets the most attention.
