Phases of Website Development

Whatever their size all websites share the same seven core phases of development. True some projects may have additional phases or sub-phases but the following seven are common to all:

  1. Concept
  2. Discovery
  3. Content development
  4. Design
  5. Development
  6. Launch
  7. Post-launch
